The Business

Solomon Foto D-Lux became "official" in the Summer of 2010. Previous business credibility was developed through dedicated, freelance commisions and fine art exhibition experience.

Foto D-Lux strives to provide every customer with the most comfortable, quality experience with photographing their life events.

The main goal of Solomon Foto D-Lux is to create a business presence of top quality arts and culture in the local and regional community through its offering of photographic services.

The Photographer

Hi! I'm Kari, the owner and photographer behind Solomon Foto D-Lux!

A little history: I've been fascinated with photography since the age of seven, and I have been practicing and photographing since the age of nine. From 1992 until now,that makes for a lot of photography experience!

Education: I hold a Bachelor of the Arts in Management with a Minor in Photography from Hiram College of Hiram, OH.

Experience: I'm very capable and adaptable to any event that needs photographing. I mix my fine art creativity with traditional, documentary style photography to accurately capture the most important, and sometimes candid, moments in peoples' lives. Through volunteering and youth leadership programs like 4-H, I have two years experience in instructing youth and peers in the art of photography, as well as an extra seven years of photography education and competition.

Favorite Photographers: Julia Margaret Cameron, the infamous explorer of tableu vivante! My Dad- he taught me everything I needed to know about photography!

Favorite Type of Photography: Creative Portraiture; I thoroughly enjoy photographing and working with all types of people! I have a soft spot for film, but also use digital equipment. My favorite camera is a large format (4x5) film view-camera.
